Welcome to the official website of the Ministry of Oil and Environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain, established as part of the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening channels of communication with various stakeholders and individuals, promoting transparency, and facilitating access to information and services.

The Ministry plays a pivotal role in regulating and developing the oil and gas sector through the formulation of policies and strategies, the regulation of licensing processes, and the implementation of oversight and inspection activities. These efforts contribute to enhancing the sector’s efficiency and sustainability while supporting the Kingdom’s national economic development objectives.

I also place significant emphasis on environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources through supporting the development of environmental policies and legislation, and promoting the adoption of sustainable standards and practices in coordination with the relevant authorities. These efforts contribute to achieving a balanced approach between development requirements and environmental preservation for future generations.

Furthermore, the Kingdom of Bahrain remains committed to supporting national sustainability and climate action initiatives, while strengthening its readiness to address environmental challenges and climate change in alignment with the Kingdom’s regional and international commitments, reflecting its vision towards a more sustainable future.

The Ministry firmly believes in the importance of partnership and integration with all relevant stakeholders, fostering the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and supporting innovation and the adoption of qualitative solutions that contribute to the advancement of the oil and gas sector, as well as enhancing institutional performance and the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
