The opening ceremony was held in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Excellency Mr. Ghanim bin Fadhl Al Buainain, Minister of Shura and Representatives Affairs, participated on Sunday in the 26th meeting of the Ministerial Committee assigned to follow up on the implementation of decisions related to joint Gulf action, held in the State of Kuwait.
His Excellency Mr. Ghanim bin Fadhl Al Buainain, Minister of Shura and Representatives Affairs, received Her Excellency Ms. Okai Asako, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at his office on Wednesday morning.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs serves as the essential link between the legislative and executive authorities. A primary objective of the Ministry is to strengthen cooperation between these two branches of Government while upholding the Constitutional principle of separation of powers and fostering mutual collaboration. The Ministry is tasked with coordinating and overseeing the efforts of the Executive Authority across its various ministries and official agencies to ensure compliance with Constitutional and legal obligations related to legislative and oversight affairs, as well as other matters presented to the Legislative Authority.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs serves as the essential link between the legislative and executive authorities. The Ministry is tasked with coordinating and overseeing the efforts of the Executive Authority across its various ministries and official agencies to ensure compliance with Constitutional and legal obligations related to legislative and oversight affairs, as well as other matters presented to the Legislative Authority.
The Ministry, entrusted with the responsibility of representing the Executive Authority and articulating its viewpoints and positions during the general sessions of the Shura Council and the House of Representatives, also undertakes the associated duties concerning the meetings of their various committees. Consequently, the Ministry plays a pivotal role in legislative and oversight affairs, as well as other related matters, ensuring the implementation of necessary actions in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the law.
The headquarters is located at Building 1565, Road 1722, Block 317, Diplomatic Area, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Ministry aspires to function as an effective and proficient entity in facilitating collaboration between the executive and legislative authorities. In pursuit of this vision, the Ministry is committed to its mission of promoting exemplary communication between these authorities and fostering cooperation in the areas of legislation and oversight, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the law.
The Ministry has implemented its strategic plan to align with the Government’s programme (2023-2026), specifically focusing on the following objectives:
- Continuing to strengthen and enhance mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative authorities.
- Coordinating and collaborating with the Legislative Authority to establish and amend legislation in accordance with international best practices while ensuring compatibility with the values and customs of Bahraini society.
