The law regulates the powers of the Supreme Council for the Environment in the field of environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable development in the Kingdom. It also establishes the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Development and defines its functions and financial resources. Furthermore, the law regulates environmental impact assessment, the management of environmental disasters and emergencies, the protection of the aquatic, air, and terrestrial environments from pollution, the management of chemicals and ionizing and non-ionizing radioactive materials and sources, the management of hazardous substances and waste, and the protection of biodiversity. It also sets out the measures to be taken in respect of environmental violations and compensation for the damage arising therefrom.

This Law regulates the provisions relating to the Auditors Register of Auditors and the terms of registration therein. It also sets out registration procedures and stipulates the powers of the Competent Directorate. Furthermore, it specifies the rights and obligations of auditors and the duties assigned to them, governs the provisions relating to disciplinary responsibility, and sets forth the penalties prescribed for violations in accordance with the provisions of this Law.

The law regulates restorative justice for children, provides legal means to protect them from maltreatment, and specifies the penalties resulting from violations of its provisions.

This law regulates the procedures for reporting and registering births, as well as the procedures for reporting and registering deaths. It also sets out the provisions relating to Authentication and Confidential Data and the issuance if Birth and Death Certificates, and the penalties for violations of its provisions.
