Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received in his office at the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), Chairperson and Board Members of the Promotion, Exhibition & Conferences sector committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Ms Ahlam Yousif Janahi and an accompanying delegation on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, morning in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan, General Secretary of NOGA and Mr. Ali A. Jabar Al Sawad, General Manager, Strategies and Planning.

The Minister praised the delegation for their efforts in the field of promotion of conferences and events and for their supportive coordination with the government and private sectors, pointing out the cooperation of all actors enhanced the prestige of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

They discussed at the meeting ways of joint cooperation between the BCCI Committee and NOGA that has helped uphold the prestigious position reached by the Kingdom of Bahrain at a regional and international level for hosting specialized events that improved the national economy.

Ms Janahi made an extensive presentation on the role of the promoting local, regional and international exhibitions and conferences for the advancement of the industry sector in Bahrain, stressing the defining role of the committee in providing suitable venues as per the plans and objectives of the events.

Both the Chairperson and her accompanying delegation expressed gratitude to the Minister for his warm reception and discussions on several regulatory matters between the two sides. They praised the Minister's efforts to support the promotion of exhibitions and conferences in the Kingdom. They also hailed the outstanding role played by NOGA in attracting international oil and gas industry events, regional conferences and specialized global exhibitions, providing all facilities to ensure smooth organization and achieve their strategic objectives.
