Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received on Monday noon, February 9, 2015 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Bahrain Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, Chairman of the 2nd Bahrain International Corporate Social Responsibility Conference and Exhibition, President of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), members of the conference organizing committee, key speakers and representatives of the sponsoring companies for the key event organized by GPIC and the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) in cooperation with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) at the Gulf International Convention Centre at the Gulf Hotel from February 9 to 11, 2015.

The Minister welcomed the delegation, praising the conference chairman and members of the organizing committee for their commendable efforts in organizing a successful conference and exhibition at an impressive scale, which upheld the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also welcomed the key speakers participating in the conference, who included experts and specialists from several countries.

H.E. Dr. Mirza greeted the representatives of the corporate sponsors of the annual conference from several institutions within and outside the Kingdom, among them the main sponsors, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd (Samref), Arab Potash Company of Jordan, GPIC, Mechanical Contracting & Services Co. (MCSC), Ahli United Bank, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) and Bahrain National Gas Company (Banagas) and praised them for their generous support.

The Minister praised the scientific papers submitted for the sessions, and congratulated participant companies in the accompanying exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference, which featured the latest inventions and technologies that could be used to raise awareness in industrial companies with regard to social responsibility.

Dr. Jawahery expressed his happiness over the outstandingly fruitful meeting, which provided a fertile environment that would take collaborative scientific excellence to another level during the conference sessions and exhibition, praising highly H.E. Dr. Mirza’s ongoing efforts to achieve success for the specialist conference series and other events.
