His Majesty the King Received the Board of Directors of National Oil & Gas Authority
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, King of Bahrain, received H.E. Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of State and Chairman of the National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA). Dr. Mirza presented to His Majesty the members of the Board of Directors of NOGA, upon the promulgation by His Majesty of Royal Decree No. (78) in respect of the formation of the Board.
They were briefed by His Majesty on the functions and priorities of NOGA for the current and future phases. His Majesty emphasized the importance of concentrating on exploration for oil within the territorial waters of Bahrain and on ensuring sufficient gas supplies for the country’s economic and development programmes.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, H.E. the Minister of State and Chairman of NOGA extended his thanks to His Majesty for His Majesty’s confidence in the members, who pledged to make every effort to achieve the political leadership’s ambitions for further progress and prosperity for Bahrain. They will always be guided by His Majesty’s directives and farsightedness in promoting this vital sector of our national economy.
H.E. the Minister of State and Chairman of NOGA made a brief presentation on the strategic plans and programmes of NOGA, and expressed his gratitude to His Majesty for the support extended to NOGA to perform its role properly.
