Minister Meets Russian Presidential Representative
His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance, Minister in Charge of the Oil and Gas Affairs met on April 16 His Excellency Viktor Zubkov, Personal Representative of the President of Russia and Chairman of Gazprom and his accompanying delegation on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Minister welcomed the Mr. Zubkov, and praised the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Russia, wishing the bilateral relations further grow to serve the interests of both the countries and their peoples.
The meeting explored several topics pertinent to the oil and gas sector and investments in gas and energy sectors as well as ways and means for the Kingdom to benefit from the expertise of Russian oil and gas companies. The outcomes of the previous visit of the Russian President’s Personal Representative to Bahrain were followed up. They also discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation especially regarding natural gas and LPG and potential trade between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the NOGA, nogaholding, Bapco and members of the Russian delegation. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr Viktor Smirnov also attended the meeting.
