H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Minister of Finance, Minister in Charge of Oil and Gas Affairs, visited the Bahrain Oil Field. The Minister was accompanied by Tatweer’s board members and  Tatweer Executive Management  and Dr. Sh.Mohamed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, President of Bahrain National Gas Company  (Banagas )  .



The visit included many projects such as the newly constructed field office block, Compression unit RC 3, Tank Battery 8 and a High Pressure Pumping Station. HE then inaugurated the new Light Oil Steam Flood Plant and had a full briefing about its operation which aims at maximizing the recovery of oil from Mauddod formation. During the tour, Shaikh Ahmed visited the new state-of-the art electrical substation which was recently energized as part of the necessary electricity infrastructure to handle the increase in oil production from the Bahrain Field.

            

H.E. the minster and all accompanying were very pleased with the tremendous efforts that Tatweer is making and the huge investments made by the shareholders in developing the Field to increase oil and gas production and preserve the natural resources and protect the environment of the Kingdom.
