NOGA Receives Merit Certificate for Government Best Practices

Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received a certificate of merit awarded to the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) for best practices in government sector. The certificate was presented by the Bahrain Centre of Excellence (BCE) officials to the Minister at the NOGA headquarters on July 12. The BSE team chose NOGA for the honour for its low-sulphur diesel project, considered one of the top unique government projects by the BCE. NOGA won the certificate for its active participation in government best practices 2014 program.

H.E. Dr. Mirza said NOGA was committed to participating in and providing excellent projects in Bahrain, praising the excellence team, who were in charge of follow-ups. He pledged the continuation of development and modernization processes in the oil sector under the supervision of NOGA and adhering to strict government guidelines while implementing programs. He said NOGA would continue to provide the best government practices, protect the interests of Kingdom and promote the country’s achievements. He praised the BCE for its efforts to improve Bahrain’s public sector.

The Minister said the low-sulphur diesel project, inaugurated by the Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on December 5, 2007, was one of the largest Bapco developments, with a goal of reducing the high sulphur content in diesel produced by Bapco.

He expressed his appreciation to the NOGA team members for their outstanding efforts and work, which have led to the authority winning the excellence award for best government practices.

The Minister stressed NOGA’s commitment to support and strengthen cooperation with the BCE and hailed its role in defining best practices in government sectors.
