Dr. Mirza Chairs Tatweer Board and Assembly Meetings
Manama 29th March 2011, H.E. Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza chaired the Board of Directors & General Assembly Meetings for Tatweer Petroleum Company which was held this morning in the company’s main office.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the shareholders; Nogaholding, Mubadala and Oxy companies.
HE Dr. Mirza opened the meeting by welcoming the Board Members and obtaining the approval of the minutes of last Board Meeting No 5, held during January 2011. The meeting then reviewed the Report of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Audited Financial Statement of the Company that will be presented at the General Assembly Meeting .
HE Dr. Mirza also chaired the General Assembly meeting which involved shareholders representatives; Mr. Maurizio La Noce, President of Mubadala Oil & Gas, Mr. Glenn Vangolen, Vice President of Occidental Oil & Gas Corp. and Mr. Abdul Hussain Monfaridy, Acting Chief Executive, Nogaholding Representative.
The meeting was opened by the approval of the meeting’s agenda and the minutes of the last General Assembly meeting held in January 2010. Then HE presented the Report of the Chairman of the Board of Directors followed by review of the Audited Financial Statements of the Company
The General Assembly then discharged the company’s Board of Directors from any liability for 2010 and appointed the External Auditors for 2011.
Before the end of the meeting H.E. The Minster thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, The Prim Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, The Crown Prince and Deputy Commander of the BDF for their wise leadership and their continued support to the oil and gas sector in Bahrain.
And at the end of the meeting H.E. also thanked the management and employees of Tatweer Petroleum for their continued efforts and dedication to develop Bahrain Field despite current situation in Bahrain.
