The amendment to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain provided for the replacement of the text of Article 91

The amendment to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain provided for the replacement of the text of Article 91 with the following:

“Each member of the Shura Council or the Council of Representatives may submit written questions to Ministers in order to clarify matters within their respective competencies. Only members of the Council of Representatives shall have the right to a single follow-up on the response; if the Minister provides additional information, the member’s right to follow up is renewed. Responses to questions from members of the Shura Council shall be provided in writing only.

Each member of the Council of Representatives may submit written questions to those members of the Council of Ministers not mentioned in the preceding paragraph, in order to clarify matters within their respective competencies, and responses shall be provided in writing only.

Questions shall not concern matters of personal interest to the member submitting the question, to his or her relatives up to the fourth degree, or to any of his or her clients.”
